1、 Gas quality

Moisture content: Moisture in compressed air is a big problem. Excessive moisture entering the gas storage tank will condense into liquid water inside the tank. Every time it starts, the pressure inside the tank rises rapidly, and when it stops, the pressure drops rapidly again. This drastic pressure change can cause fatigue damage to the tank material. Long term frequent starting and stopping of gas storage tanks can easily lead to problems such as cracks and deformation, seriously affecting their performance and lifespan.

Overpressure operation: Each gas storage tank has its rated working pressure range. Once the pressure exceeds this range during operation, it will cause significant safety hazards to the tank. Overpressure can cause excessive stress on the tank, exceeding the material's bearing limit, which may lead to tank rupture and cause serious safety accidents. Even short-term overpressure can cause irreversible damage to the tank and reduce its service life.

3、 Maintenance condition

Lack of regular inspections: Regular inspections are an important means of promptly identifying potential issues with gas storage tanks. If inspections are not carried out for a long time, some small faults and hidden dangers may be overlooked. For example, minor scratches on the surface of the tank may gradually expand under pressure over time without regular inspection, ultimately leading to tank leakage or rupture. Safety accessories such as safety valves and pressure gauges may malfunction and fail to function at critical moments.

Improper maintenance measures: Improper maintenance measures can also affect the performance and lifespan of gas storage tanks. For example, during rust prevention treatment, if the quality of the selected rust proof paint is poor or the painting process is not standardized, it will not be able to effectively prevent the tank from rusting. In drainage operations, if not carried out according to the correct method and frequency, it can also accelerate the corrosion of the tank. In addition, if the lubrication, cleaning and other maintenance work of the gas storage tank is not done properly, it will also affect the normal operation of the equipment.
